Pottery Barn Tray project...

I didn't want to post this because in the end I am not super happy with it, but I thought I could get advice from you all?

I got this pottery barn tray just like this at a outlet type sale. It was $5. I imagined all the grand things I could do with it. First spray paint it all...

Second, tried unsuccessfully to line up some cute scrapbook papers...

Slapped it together...Don't like the seams....don't like the glare...

Love the pretty tray table and all of it's potential...

Sprayed the cute birdie too...and found the darling vase at DI.

Now, what to do?

Wallpaper?

Fabric???

Tile???

ANY ADVICE PLEASE???

I dunno, perhaps a bit of antiquing around the sides of the tray? You could even use a vintage doily on the top and have a piece of glass cut to cover it. Just a thought.

Gift wrap would be big enough (and inexpensive) but I'd always vote for fabric!

I think some super cute tiles would work great. That is what I would go with.

Wow very pretty tray, I think that the gift wrap idea is a good one but I would maybe think about using something over it to protect it from water damage. Enjoy your long weekend;)

If you don't want seams wall paper or gift wrap is good but I think the wall paper would be more servicable. Have fun

I think it looks great but I can't see the seams. If I could then yes, it would bother me. I would opt for fabric; a home dec or purhaps burlap. It seems if you tired of it you could easily change it as opposed to tile. And I also liked Shabby Anne's idea of antiquing the sides a bit. Have fun!
